Based on Audre Lorde’s poem “A Litany For Survival”, this conference addresses the silence and fear created by oppression. It calls for participants to respond and actively resist oppressive forces by speaking “– knowing we were never meant to survive.” Through a day of workshops and community connections we hope to provide a space to explore gender at all intersections of identity, validate our self-knowledges, work across difference, and collaboratively strategize ways to combat oppression.
